CYT is excited to be doing 13 the Musical Showcase. With driving rock beats, and high energy music, 13 the Musical Showcase deals with themes that every middle-schooler can relate to…friendship, gossip, first attraction, fitting in, and figuring out who you are and who you want to be.
We have a great artistic team working to make the script and songs “CYT appropriate”. Matt and Lauren Bowen, our camp pastors, along with our counselors are excited to spend time in small groups talking through issues that all teenagers deal with.
At 13, your life is just beginning, and that many more mistakes are choices will be made, but you can only look forward, and no matter what you do, you cannot go back. Choose wisely!
Pick up your CD of just the songs that will be performed at camp at the CYT office, or at your class showcase.
Songs may include:
13/ Becoming a man
-Get me What I need
-Opportunity
-What it means to be a friend (will be sung full company)
-Any Minute (first part of song)
-Being a Geek
-Tell Her
-A little more Humble
*please note that there is some mild language on the Full version of the 13 soundtrack, if you choose to purchase the whole soundtrack elsewhere. We have made appropriate selections of songs, as well as changes in words to make the songs “CYT Appropriate”.
