How can I help CYT?
CYT is looking to the leaders of today, who truly believe that funds invested in youth is an investment in our future, which goes to the heart of the CYT mission. Charitable support allows CYT to grow and enhance the quality of our training and productions while keeping tuition and ticket prices affordable.
Why Does CYT Need My Help?
Our annual budget for CYT Vancouver/Portland is nearly three quarters of a million. Only about 85-90% of the total comes from ticket sales, tuition and fees. Therefore we must raise more than $80,000 annually to ensure that all our productions and student programs are adequately funded.Many people are surprised to discover the true cost of a CYT show. Below is a sample budget from a show.
Show Income:
$15,000 - 1,500 tickets sold
$5,000 - concessions, souvenirs and raffle
$3,000 - production fees from cast members
$1,000 - show sponsorship
TOTAL - $24,000
Show Costs:
$6,000 - show venue rental
$4,000 - royalties
$4,000 - production budgets (sets, props, costumes, etc...
$4,000 - payroll
$1,000 - rehearsal and audition space rental
$1,500 - marketing
$2,000 - office support for box office, copies, etc
$1,500 - warehouse storage space rental
TOTAL: $24,000
