Get involved! There are many ways to be a part of CYT beyond the stage. Check out HYPE, work towards your Renaissance Award, and bring CYT to your school. 

Hype


HYPE stands for High School Youth Pursuing Excellence. This program is designed to give CYT teens the opportunity to serve CYT and the community. High School students from all four areas are eligible to apply to be a part of HYPE.  If you'd like to be a part of HYPE, print this application and turn it in to the Magic Box.

Improvathon


Have you ever watched a skit from “Whose Line is it Anyway” and laughed your head off? Don’t miss this opportunity to see CYT kids at their funniest. Teams from all over the country get together each summer for workshops, joining in some hilarious games and skits. Renaissance Award


The Renaissance Award has been created in an effort to reward the efforts and time of students who have worked deliberately to be involved in every area of CYT. Like the Renaissance Men of old, they have tried to be well-rounded participants. We want to honor that type of curiosity, learning, and discovery. CYT@School


CYT@School is devoted to introducing performing arts to children, one school at a time, by providing a high-quality experience that is educational and enjoyable. Many schools have had to cut their arts programs so CYT@School is dedicated to bringing to your school a low-cost, after school program developed to support the performing arts training in public and private schools. Rentals


 Do you have a Cinderella in need of a Magical Carriage? Is Snoopy needing a doghouse? Or is Belle wanting a special gown? CYT has a large inventory of scenery, props, costumes, set pieces and theatrical furniture, along with a limited amount of lighting, special effects equipment and theater hardware available for rent at a reasonable cost. Internships


We are currently accepting applications for internship with CYT. A CYT internship will give you work skills and experience that will benefit you in the future. It will also help CYT meet it’s goal of providing quality theater arts education to families. You are eligible to apply if you: 1. Are ages 16-21 2. Have some basic computer and typing skills (know how to create a document, research on the internet, etc…) 3. Have taken at least three sessions of classes with CYT 4. CYT School Day Performances


School Day performances are specifically planned for the convenience of schools and field trips. Most of our main stage shows have seats available for your school group. School Day Show times are always 9:30 am and 12:00 noon.
